Hi, I'm Lily!

Photographer, storyteller, animal lover, and the face behind Nature's Magic Photography.

My love for photography started more than seven years ago with a little point-and-shoot camera and a love for capturing the world around me. Flowers, animals, landscapes — if I thought it was beautiful, I wanted a photograph of it.

Eventually, that love for capturing nature turned into something even more meaningful: capturing people and the stories that belong to them.

Today, I photograph weddings, couples, families, maternity and all of life's beautiful in-between moments. My approach is relaxed and natural. Of course we'll get the photograph where everyone is looking at the camera, but some of my favourite images happen immediately afterward — the laugh, the little glance, the kids being themselves, or the moment you forget there's even a camera there.


A Little About Me

When I'm not behind the camera, you'll usually find me at home on our little farm surrounded by more animals than I probably need — dogs, horses, cats, ducks and whatever else seems to find its way into my life.


Nature has always been a huge part of who I am, and you'll see that reflected throughout my photography. I love warm light, open fields, quiet wooded trails, waterfronts and locations that allow people to relax and simply be themselves.


I'm also a lover of stories in every form. I'm an avid reader, I love to write, and travelling to new places with my camera is one of my favourite things to do.

Maybe that's why photography has always felt so natural to me.


Every person has a story. I just happen to tell them in photographs.



What it's like to work with me


You don't need to know how to pose.

You don't need kids who sit perfectly still.

And you definitely don't need to spend your session wondering what you're supposed to do with your hands.

I'll guide you when you need it, give you room to interact naturally, and make sure we capture both the beautiful portraits for your walls and the little unscripted moments you'll want to remember.

My goal is simple: for your photographs to feel like you.
